THE ROAD.

A collecting of thoughts in one spot on a most seductive of subjects… if you’re me. The road has always called me like a lost child home since my first tastes of it. It is the mistress in my life, and everybody knows.
I don’t waste a moment in a housetruck with the rain sounds. This is a special time. Driving in bad weather isn’t something I’ve ever really enjoyed, except maybe the times through snow at night when you put on the high beams and it looks like you hit warp speed in some space travel adventure. Even that was so long ago… I’d much rather find a spot to park and let the storm clear away. Being in a small metal box, a little rolling sanctuary, with the rain on the roof? I turn everything off, lay back, and just breathe it in.
