Scott Beckwith was born in New York and came of age in the Boston, MA area. Formative events include discovering a John Lee Hooker record in a box in the basement, a ride in cousin Jimmy’s Road Runner, feeling music become his operating system, and realizing that road goes somewhere… oh, and then there’s the whole go-live-in-the-woods thing, and jumping over the workbench to become a guitar and bass maker.

That’s a lot to unpack, and honestly some never does. It gets channeled into books and songs and music, guitars and time spent savoring the simple magic of life. Then those become ripples outward to hopefully bring something to you.
